Wow, that was a tough one. Cats went to Auburn, and won 68-53. Between the TV coverage getting lost, and an all out ugly offensive game from Kentucky, they were still able to pull out a double digit win. Lamb, who came off the bench tonight, lead the cats in scoring. Lamb and Davis led the way with 14, Lamb made a very crucial and 1, along with a couple of three pointers. Davis played huge with 6 rebounds and 4 blocks to go with his 14 points, and had a highlight alley oop from Lamb, which he does a lot. The Auburn Tigers bothered the cats with their zone defense but Kentucky was able to find some holes within that zone to go from a 49-47 game, to a 15 point win. Gilchrist had a off night by going just, 2 for 10 from the field, but made up for it by making plays happen , and doing what he does best...hustle. Terrence Jones muscled his way to 12 points, and 5 boards.
Cats have yet to put together a complete game in quite some time, seems like they lose interest. Even though as poorly as they can play, and struggle offensively, it's just a matter of flipping the switch, and tonight they kept the fans at the edge of their seats, and then decided to flip it. It's gonna be a rough one on the road at Tennessee on Saturday. Work on scoring against a zone, put together a complete game, and the cats we'll be just fine.
