Kentucky vs. Arkansas Little Rock Post Game Thoughts

The Cats had a tough start today but was able to pull it out by a score of  73-51.  During the first half, the Wildcats could not find any kind of offensive rhythm.  Everyone was very lax on that side of the ball.  Often times players would stand and watch the ball handler without very much intensity.  That all changed in the second half.  Coach Cal's kids jumped to a huge run with good offense and better defense.  Eventually Kentucky cruised to an easy victory.
In case you had forgotten, Anthony Davis is really good.  He makes everything look so easy. Davis ended the game with 22 points and 16 rebounds.  Also, dunk of the night goes to Davis and his 1 handed lob catch dunk.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had a really quite night.  The Wildcat Warrior looked almost human today as he struggled with turnovers.  With that said, he still ended up with a very solid stat line.  Michael posted 9 points and 10 rebound.  That made him 1 point shy of yet another double double.  Kidd-Gilchrist also had some types of issues during the game.  Late in the match-up, he ran back into the locker room. At the time of this writing, not sure what is going on with that, however I would guess it was just stomach issues.
I was very glad to see Terrence Jones playing with much intensity today.  He looked like his old self at times.   TJ's stats read 10 points and 6 rebounds.  That is a very solid effort coming off a finger injury.  Speaking of his pinkie finger, it looks as if Jones is pretty much back to 100 % health.  Draining a three during the game, his finger did not affect his shot.
Darius Miller became the first Wildcat since Patrick Patterson to join the 1000 point club.  This is a huge accomplishment for Miller as he joins good company in that elite club.  Darius shot the ball with much more confidence today.  That is what you want to see from him.  He ended up with 15 points and 3 baskets from beyond the arc.
