Kentucky will play rival North Carolina down in Chapel Hill tomorrow. Tip off is expected to take place around 12:30. This is going to be a real test for the Wildcats. The question of whether or not the Cats can compete with teams that have a solid inside presence could be answered in less than 24 hours. The Tar Heels both start a 7 footer, and a 6' 10" forward. Our two head center combo of Vargas and Harreslon will have no easy task to control the area inside the paint for the Wildcats.
I don't want to be overconfident, but......... outside of Harrison Barnes I don't see a huge amount of talent on this Tar Heel team. Atleast not the kind of talent we are used to seeing in North Carolina. Harrison Barnes , in that matter, has failed to impress me so far this season. Terrance Jones has proven to be the better player, in a side by side comparison.
I think we will learn much from this young Kentucky team. They are going to have to have a will to win, along with discipline enough to work the ball around to get open, then knock down some shots. They are more than capable of doing that. On the defensive end, they must work together. UK has to to a better job of communicating. It's all about team defense.
I predict that we will come out with a W. We will emerge from Chapel Hill victorious. Hopefully, we'll celebrate the win, and Enes's eligibility by Saturday night! Go Big Blue!
