As Kentucky Rolls Tennessee 69-44, Anthony Davis Continues to Impress
John Calipari had his Kentucky Wildcats ready to play against rival Tennessee. The Cats opened the game up during the first 11 minutes by shooting perfect from the field. The defensive intensity matched their offensive explosion. Only the hot shooting of Tennessee's Renaldo Woolridge kept the score as close as it was. He came up with 15 of the Vol's first 25 points. However, it was Anthony Davis who stole the show.
Anthony Davis has to be in the talks for college player of the year. Davis is so versatile that it is scary. Against Tennessee, Anthony Davis showed us some skills that we don't normally see from him. His mid range jumper really caught my eye. I was really impressed with how well he shot the ball.
If Davis is only in the talks of player of the year, then he is without a doubt the defensive player of the year. Tonight made me think no different. Tennessee was forced to live outside because Davis made life difficult for anybody in orange to come into the paint. Anthony's seven blocks helped Kentucky define their presence on the inside. To top it off, he helped keep Jarnell Stokes at bay. Jarnell was cleary outmatched by the superior Davis.

Anthony Davis is a Machine - Kentucky Rolls LSU 74-50
Despite LSU's best efforts to terminate Anthony Davis, Kentucky comes up with a huge 74-50 victory. Anthony Davis proved to the league today that he is tough. He may have a wire frame but it is all made of iron. LSU gave him pummel after pummel. Just like Rocky, Anthony Davis picked himself back up and played!
Stat Line :
Anthony Davis : 16 Points, 10 Rebounds, 3 Blocks
Terrence Jones : 27 Points, 9 Rebounds

Kentucky Rolls Georgia 57-44
Kentucky has an easy time of things tonight as they roll Georgia. Overall, Kentucky played a very good game by attacking Georgia's zone defense. Below is my key take a ways from the matchup.
1. Darius Miller- Miller played an aggressive first half. I don't know if he has every demanded the ball like he did tonight in the first 20 minutes.
2. Marquis Teague is improving - Though Teague didn't score much tonight, his solid play proves that he is making huge strides. His assist to turnover ratio is getting much better with each week that goes by.
3. Kentucky's reaction to a slow tempo - Georgia stayed in a zone all night , forcing Kentucky to slow down. UK showed me that they have the ability to play this grinding type of game and be successful at it.
4. Coach Cal/Terrence Jones Relationship - Coach Cal was in Terrence's ear all night. Cal wants this kid to succeed and be the best. Jones is having a tough time responding. There is a lottery pick in there somewhere , and I'm willing to say Cal will eventually pull it out of him.

Anthony Davis Comes Up Just Short of a Triple Double - Kentucky Defeats Arkansas
Kentucky simply out matched Arkansas by a score of 86-63. The game was never in doubt. It was a completely dominating performance by the Wildcats. Arkansas' pressure defense was not nearly enough to stop the scoring onslaught by the Cats.
The big story of the game was the overall play by Anthony Davis. Davis is now the single season record holder for most blocks. He passed up some pretty good names for UK in Melvin Turpin and Riddick. Davis finished the day with 27 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 blocks. Simply amazing!
