After struggling during the second half of the Georgia game, SI.com is reporting that Coach John Calipari is considering reducing the minutes of Darius Miller. Coach Cal was quoted saying "He has a spell in the game like 'why would you revert? Why would you get pushed there?'' Calipari said. "But I'm just pleased he's moving in the right direction. It's important for the team he be aggressive offensively.''

Coach Calipari sends message to the Team - The Law of the Price Tag
After the game against Georgia, Coach John Calipari sent a message to his team in the form of a flyer with the following information :
THE LAW OF THE PRICE TAG
• OUR TEAM WILL GET EXACTLY WHAT WE PAY FOR
• SELDOM DO YOU GET MORE THAN WHAT YOU PAY FOR
• SUCCESS WILL NOT COME EASY OR CHEAPER THAN THE PRICE YOU PAY
• EACH TEAM MEMBER MUST DECIDE IN HIS HEART WHETHER THE GOAL IS WORTH THE PRICE HE WILL HAVE TO PAY
• SACRIFICE – BE SURE NO MATTER WHAT YOU EXPECT TO GIVE FOR THE TEAM AT SOME POINT MORE WILL BE ASKED
• THE STRENGTH OF THE TEAM IS IMPACTED BY ITS WEAKEST LINK – IS THAT YOU?
• THE PRICE MUST BE PAID BY EVERYONE – YOU HAVE TO GIVE UP SOMETHING TO BE A MEMBER OF THE TEAM
• THE PRICE MUST BE PAID ALL THE TIME – THERE ARE NO VICTORIES AT BARGAIN PRICES
• THE PRICE NEVER DECREASES – MOST TEAMS DON’T QUIT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MOUNTAIN; THEY QUIT HALF-WAY UP
• A TEAM FAILS TO REACH ITS POTENTIAL WHEN IT VIOLATES ONE OR BOTH OF THESE LAWS:
1. THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND THE PRICE OF SUCCESS
2. THEY DO UNDERSTAND, BUT ARE NOT WILLING TO PAY FOR IT
IF WE WANT IT, WE ALL MUST BE WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE ALL THE TIME, NOT JUST WHEN IT’S CONVENIENT

Kentucky Wildcats could be in TROUBLE . Possible NCAA Infraction!
Kentuckysports.com is reporting the UK may have committed a possible NCAA infraction this week. Larry Brown has been in Lexington visiting his good friend Coach John Calipari. Apparently, Larry Brown sit in with some of the players as well as the coaches. According to Kentuckysports.com , an outside consultant is not allowed to participate or engage with players. The site also reports that Josh Harrellson is the one who tipped off the media(NOT INTENTIONALLY) when discussed how Brown had mentored him during the week.
Kentucky's chief compliance officer, Sandy Bell, says that she can not rule out that a infraction has occurred. She stated that if it is ruled an infraction, it would be a secondary one and would be dealt with. Stay tuned for more.
Also, I think Josh Harrellson should be banned from interviews just as his twitter account! Please, don't interview him anymore!!!

Coach Cal Post Game Comments - "Play Tough"
Courtesty LEX18.com :
Check out one of Coach Calipari's post Georgia game comments.
I have heard Coach Calipari speak in interviews lately on how he has to coach toughness and motivation to these kids, rather than basketball. I think we're getting better, but still have a long way to go in the toughness department.
Check out one of Coach Calipari's post Georgia game comments.
"You have to make the tough plays. You are not the one to get rebounded on. Can't be. That's one. Two, you have to be really strong with the ball. All those other things, the guys should be able to do, and they can't."

Kentucky complete's it's vengence on Georgia
Despite poor play in the second half, the Cats defeated the Dogs 66-60 . Head over to ESPN3.com to watch the replay of the game in case you missed it!
The Enes Kanter situation is not over yet.........
It's over right? The decision is done and all Kentucky fans should just move on? That's what I had thought until last night. Appartently one sportscaster is taking a tougher look at the whole process. CBSsports.com is reporting that Jay Bilas is going to investigate further into the matter. He wants to find out if Mark Emmert(Current President of NCAA and Former President of the Washington Huskies) knew about Washington actively recruiting Enes Kanter. As I pointed out earlier in the blog, if Emmert did recruit him, then this possibly is an act of vengeance toward UK for "stealing" a Washington commitment.
Bilas is not alone in this assumption, Dick Vitale said this "if Kanter had gone to Washington, the NCAA would have ruled him eligible."

The Truth is Out There
Is the NCAA and the media working together against the Big Blue Nation? Is there an active conspiracy against the Kentucky Wildcats Men's basketball team? Are Kentucky fans just crazy and paranoid? I have been in a discussion with this matter on more than one occasion, and is something that is on Kentucky fan's mind. Make sure you listen live on Monday night at 7, as we discuss and debate those very questions. Also, make a comment below as well as vote on our online poll. President Obama's State of the Union Speech
I am highly upset that the President did not mention anything about Enes Kanter or the NCAA last night. I know we have things like Health Care, Unemployment, and the Economy to worry about! Come Obama, there's nothing more America than Enes Kanter! Right? ..............
Terrence Jones is focused
I got this via KSR ! It seems Terrence Jones will be focused heavily on this Georgia game, if his locker is any indication!

The Key to Kentucky's Success this Season
After watching the Kentucky and South Carolina game, my good friend Tony Hale mentioned something to me that struck a chord. Both Doron Lamb and Brandon Knight suffered slight injuries because of a "knee knock" in that game. Those injuries, and future injuries, could be prevented with the use of Patrick Ewing Knee Pads. Kentucky can not afford anyone getting hurt this season. I say we need to spare no expense and get our kids these large , awkward looking knee pads right now.

John Wall defeats Rajon Rondo
Actually, the Washington Wizards defeated the Boston Celtics , but the title to this post is much more interesting. In their first ever meeting, John Wall hit a huge 3 pointer down the stretch to put the Wizards over the top against the Celtics. John Wall is making a point night in and night out that he belongs in the league and has the potential to be a big time star.
John Wall : 16 points , 6 Rebounds , 4 Assists

Terrence Jones Killer Crossover and Dunk of the Year
Hello Columbia South Carolina, my name is Terrence Jones!
Brandon Knight does his best Rocky impression
I have to give player of the game honors to Brandon Knight. Rocky Balboa would be proud. Brandon Knight was karate chopped in the throat, had his knee banged up running 100 miles per hours, and was on receiving end of a Macho Man elbow drop from a South Carolina player. In the words of Drago from Rocky IV, "He's not a man, he's a piece of iron " Even with all that , Brandon Knight ended the game with 23 points and 7 rebounds.

If ur saying ur parents nvr said anything to you that hurt ur feelings and then apologized to you after ur lying
Coach Calipari issues an apology
You may have noticed Coach Calipari going complete NUTSO on Terrance Jones in the final minutes of last nights game. If you can read lips you know what he was saying! This morning, John Calipari issued a public apology to his players and the fans with this statement :
I do want to apologize for my language at the end of the game. I got caught up in the emotion of the game, but that's no excuse. Sometimes you don't realize in the moment that what you're saying is on national TV. The BBN deserves better and so do my players. I am sorry.

Learning the Hard Way
It's always better to learn when your winning. In a perfect world that is what happens each time. We all know that this is not a perfect world. Sometimes, you have to learn the hard way. A loss is tough anytime. This one hurts in many different ways.
The Wildcats played with absolute no heart for the first 25 minutes of this ballgame. At one point, the Alabama lead was 20 points. I don't know what changed, but at around the 13 minutes mark in the second half, the Kentucky Wildcats found something inside them that we had not seen all season long. They found a will to win plus an extra ounce of toughness they needed.
In the end, the earlier breakdown by the Cats added with freshman mistakes down the stretch were too much for our young boys to handle. If you can ever make a case that a loss is good, this may be the best time. Kentucky now goes back to the locker room with a knowledge they did not have before this game. These young freshman now know that this is the SEC and you have to have an extra dose of toughness along with your talent to succeed. I saw a will to win in these kids tonight for the first time this season. I'm sure it will carry over to the rest of the schedule.
To sum it up, I'm very disappointed in the loss. However, I am also very optimistic about the future. It's not March yet.

Breaking Patrick Patterson News - Taken to the Hospital
Patrick Patterson left in an ambulance during last night's Houston Rocket game, in the third quarter. Patrick was complaining of chest pains and congestion. Reports suggested that Patterson was fighting flu like symptoms prior to the game. He wasn't admitted, and now Houston has him listed as "day to day" on the injury list. Also, Patrick tweeted after being released from the hospital :
Patrick Patterson
"Thanks for all the love, thoughts, and prayers. Feeling better. Flying back to Houston. Wheels up!"
Let's all pray that everything turns out OK for Patrick. He's had a string of bad luck early, and just now beginning to get some playing time!

What could possibly the first of many meetings between Kentucky recruit Michael Gilchrist and Duke recruit Austin Rivers happened tonight. The Kentucky touted 5 star swing man Michael Gilchrist and his St. Patrick team won the war today by defeating the newest Duke sensation Austin Rivers and his Winterpark team. Austin Rivers won the points battle, as he finished with 38 points. Gilchrist added 22 points and 7 rebounds. If everything works out well, maybe we will see a rematch March of 2012!

Is Jodie Meeks Kentucky single game scoring record in danger this season?
For the second time in 2 months, the UK single game freshman scoring record has been broken. First, Doron Lamb poured in 32 points with a barrage of 3's. Last night, Terrence Jones did everything to break that and score 35 points. With this guns blazing offense that Kentucky has this season, I start to wonder if Jodie Meeks single game scoring record of 54 may be in danger before the end of the season?
Doron Lamb could get hot from beyond the arc and light a team up for 55. Brandon Knight also has the potential to get in the zone and score in bunches. Terrence Jones , however, has the best opportunity in the future to break the Meeks record. Unlike Lamb and Knight, Jones does not have to be super hot from beyond the arc to score. He can pound the ball inside. Jones could take his man off the dribble. If the defense gets smart and pushes him outside, then he has the ability to light it up from there as well.
Where was Josh Harrellson last night?
Josh Harrellson's numbers came back to normal level against Auburn. He did record 8 points, but only grabbed 4 rebounds for the game.

Kentucky beats Auburn . Terrance Jones breaks Doron Lambs freshman scoring record- with 35 points
The Kentucky Wildcats came back strong from their Georgia loss and completely demolished the Auburn Tigers. The major story of the night was freshman phenom Terrance Jones. Terrance Jones came off the bench, as Coach Cal told ESPN that he was fighting a really bad cold. I don't believe him. The UK Freshman single game scoring record, held by Doron Lamb, was broken tonight by cold ridden Terrance Jones. What can't Terrance do? He played tough defensive, he hustled, he drove the ball up the floor, rebounded, he scored inside, and he scored outside. What more can you ask for? Terrance Jones was in rare form today, and if this keeps up we'll be saying Enes Kanter who? !
Sam's Sarcasm toward the Auburn Tigers
Despite all the attention Cam Newton is receiving this season for Auburn, they actually still have a basketball team too! The tigers are tonight's opponent! Game time is slated to tip off around 7 tonight!
To say Auburn is having a down year in basketball is an understatement. They come into today's came with a losing record of 7-8. To bad the boosters don't take a interest in the basketball team, as much as they do the football team. I'm sure 130,000 could have bought a great basketball player. I guess that's how much Cam Newton cost the football team.
Anyway, I think Auburn will be a great matchup for UK today, coming of a big loss. If all goes well, it should be a fluff game, in which we hopefully can regain some confidence! Go Big Blue

Enes Kanter to play in the Bluegrass this season?
Really, the above headline should read " Enes Kanter to play FOR the Bluegrass this season?" When I say Bluegrass, I mean the Bluegrass Stallions. The Stallions are from Georgetown and play in the PBL, the "Premiere Basketball League" According to a news release, the Stallions are aggressively pursing Enes Kanter for this season, with a lucrative contract and insurance. They also stated they would accept Enes playing in only home games.
This is a terrible idea for Enes Kanter. This is a great idea for the Bluegrass Stallions. It would make a mockery of the Turkish big man , just trying to sell tickets and make some money on his coat tails. Even though it would turn Enes Kanter into a Carnival Freak Show, I would buy a ticket to watch the future lottery pick play!
Enes, stick with Calipari......that's your best bet!
