I Am Legend - Darius Miller

Tonight will be the last time that we get to see Kentucky native Darius Miller put on a Kentucky uniform and represent the Wildcats on the court.  Darius has been a champion representative of not only the University of Kentucky, but the whole state for the last four years.  No one on this roster has been through more for Kentucky than that man.  The man from Maysville has surely made us all proud during his four years at UK.
It was by no means an easy start for Darius.  I know that we all want to forget, but Darius came into the program at the start of the infamous Billy G era.  Even under that debacle, Darius stayed true and never swayed from UK.  I will credit Billy G  as the coach who took away Miller's confidence from the start.  Mark Krebs(former UK player) told reporters that he felt Coach Gillepsie really hurt Darius' game with his coaching style.  He said the coach would make it too hard on Darius at times, Miller wouldn't know what he should do to please the coach.
Then, along came John Calipari.  Not only is Calipari the best thing to happen to Kentucky overall, but he was the very best thing that could have ever happened for Darius Miller.  Hand in hand with his coaching style, the help that Darius needed came with playing with superstars that Calipari brought into the program.  Darius learned confidence and swag from players like John Wall, Brandon Knight, Eric Bledsoe, Anthony Davis and countless others.
Darius has come along way since his freshman season.  It could end no better for him.  Darius' last game in a Kentucky jersey will be played in the National Championship game in New Orleans.  The Kentucky boy will have the opportunity to seal the deal and hang another championship banner in historic Rupp Arena.  Tonight, It's Miller time.
