Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Player Comparison - Who does he remind you of?

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is becoming known as a warrior.  He is a pure beast on the basketball court.  I have yet to see him fail to make a good effort while playing.  With his big play in nationally televised game, he also is becoming known all around the country as possibly one of the best players in college basketball.
Since the first time I watched Kidd-Gilchrist play I thought he was more "NBA" ready than any of UK's other freshman.  Even, Anthony Davis who is a beast himself.  As I watched, I couldn't help but to start comparing him with players I have grown up with.  Who does he remind me of? Scottie Pippen.
Just think about it. Pippen was a star player who went under the shadow of Michael Jordan.  Scottie was known for his defensive intensity, along with his overall intensity in the game.  Pippen knew his name would not be called in plays as much as MJ.  In order to compensate, he made sure he went after every loose ball, every rebound, and every garbage play.   Because of his intense play, Scottie quickly earned a name for his self as one of the NBA greats.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist pretty much mirrors Scottie in that regard.  He is under the shadow of Anthony Davis, who almost all believe will be the top pick in the next NBA draft.  With so many stars on the UK roster, Kidd-Gilchrist also knows that his name won't be called on every play.  He makes up for that with his effort.  Michael goes after every offensive board and dives on every loose ball.  MKG has already made his name as the best defensive perimeter player on the team. Just like Scottie, he too is making a name for himself as one of the best in the college game.
