As Kentucky Rolls Tennessee 69-44, Anthony Davis Continues to Impress

John Calipari had his Kentucky Wildcats ready to play against rival Tennessee.  The Cats opened the game up during the first 11 minutes by shooting perfect from the field.  The defensive intensity matched their offensive explosion.  Only the hot shooting of Tennessee's Renaldo Woolridge kept the score as close as it was.  He came up with 15 of the Vol's first 25 points.  However, it was Anthony Davis who stole the show.
Anthony Davis has to be in the talks for college player of the year.  Davis is so versatile that it is scary. Against Tennessee, Anthony Davis showed us some skills that we don't normally see from him.  His mid range jumper really caught my eye. I was really impressed with how well he shot the ball.
If Davis is only in the talks of player of the year, then he is without a doubt the defensive player of the year.  Tonight made me think no different.  Tennessee was forced to live outside because Davis made life difficult for anybody in orange to come into the paint. Anthony's seven blocks helped Kentucky define their presence on the inside.  To top it off, he helped keep Jarnell Stokes at bay.  Jarnell was cleary outmatched by the superior Davis.
