Doron Lamb Inside Information

Doron Lamb says that he believes both C.J. Leslie and Terrance Jones will be committing to UK. Please be right Doron!

Rick Stansbury, you have the right to remain silent, PLEASE USE IT

Rick Stansbury, Head Coach of Mississippi State, was made an example by the SEC this week.  Rick publicly stated that the Ref's made the wrong call at the end of the SEC Final against our beloved Cats.  You remember, Blesdsoe missed the free throw on purpose and we got the board.  Rick thinks we committed a lane violation, and the SEC actually agreed. However, because Rick openly criticized the ref's, he was fined 30,000 dollars Next time, keep it to yourself Rick, and buy yourself another car, not pay a fine like this!.

We're BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you already know, Brandon Knight announced today that he will be a Wildcat next season.  He is often thought of as the best PG and player in this years class.  Also, Michael Gilchrist announced that he too would be coming to UK in the 2011 class.  If you don't know much about him, get ready because he could challenge Jamal Mashburn as the best wing player to wear the blue and white , before it's all said and done! GO BIG BLUE.

Watch live video from jtblue1972 on Justin.tv

Live stream...Knight has already committed with UK, now the wait of calipari and Gilchrist!
It's Raining....
The storm is coming....and it's almost here. At 4pm, Brandon Knight will announce his decision but then an unexpected storm appeared on the radar...and his name is name is Michael Gilchrist. Gilchrist is the number one player in the 2011 class and is considered by many as the best player in high school, period. ESPNU will be having a 2 hour show beginning at 4, with Knight being the first to make his decision. Calipari will then appear on shortly after Knight, with Gilchrist being the last and ending the show. Gilchrist won't be signing, he'll only be verbal committing meaning that he could back out if he wants to but it's very unlikely. I'm going to try and find a live stream to post on here for everyone to watch it who doesn't have ESPNU. All this begins here an hour...Get ready Kentucky!!!

Kanter Cleared to Play?

Gregg Doyel announced on his twitter page, that Enes Kanter has been cleared to play for UK next season.  There was some speculation that he may had to sit out some games because of him receiving money in Turkey. Apparently, all is fine now though, according to Mr. Doyel.
THE STORM IS COMING!
Get ready Kentucky basketball fans, the storm is coming. What do I mean by the storm is coming? The Recruiting season is about to hit some crazy weather. Everybody I run into is asking me, what are we going to do now? Wall and the guys are gone. What did people expect? I expected them to leave after the first year, maybe not Dodson if he does but the rest I knew there was a chance. Expect this every year from Coach Calipari and staff.....remember in the speech way back at the beginning of the year he said he'd take talent over experience any day. UK fans just need to relax. Kentucky, after the storm has hit, and all recruits have fallen into place and the dust has cleared could possibly have a top five recruiting class if not the number one class again. Storm season as far as recruiting goes will hit in about two weeks...I'm no meteorologist but I really sense a big one coming. Hurricane Brandon Knight, along with Tropical Cyclone CJ Leslie, Tornado Doron Lamb, and possibly a sound of thunder of Josh Selby, and Terrence Jones. Look at that class that I just listed that UK could possibly have...as far as what they rank among the rest of the recruits, according to rivals.com, Knight is ranked #1, Selby #4, CJ Leslie #13, Terrence Jones #14, and Lamb at #21, to go along with Poole and Canter who are top 40 recruits. Overall this class could be better than last. So keep your head up Big Blue Nation...Await the storm!

Who's putting on the Big Blue Jersey next year?

There is alot happening around the recruiting world this week.  Brandon Knight will make his announcement on the 14th. Josh Selby will be making his decision known on the 17th during the Jordan Brand Classic.  Recently, Selby said in an interview that he could co-exist with Brandon Knight on the same floor.  Rivals.com has Brandon Knight as the #1 point guard in America, while Selby is ranked # 2.

C.J. Leslie is also going to make his school choice at the Jordan Brand Classic on the 17th.  Meanwhile, Terrance Jones says that he will be waiting until the 23rd or the 30th to make his pick.

Cousins signs an agent

DeMarcus Cousins is the first of the superb five to sign an agent. John Greig will be the man who helps Big Cuz make his millions.  For any of you who don't know, this means that DeMarcus cannot withdraw his name from the Draft and return to UK.

Goodbye never felt so bad!

ESPN broke the news that everybody new was coming, John Wall , Eric Bledsoe, Daniel Orten, DeMarcus Cousins and Patrick Patterson all delcared for the NBA Draft.  But, stop right there.  Mrs. Patterson says ESPN did not get the story right.  She says that Patrick has not decided yet, nor signed any papers for the draft.  He wants to take another week to think about it.  Come on Patrick ..........one more year!!!!

The Exodus

Sorry about my poor blogmanship lately with no updates.  I am still reeling over that WVU loss.  Anyway, let me give you an update of whats happened this past week :

  • John Wall reports that he has not made a decision as of yet on going Pro.  He did however say that DeMarcus , Eric, and himself would all be making the same decision
  • Rumors are abound about Daniel Orton.  Reports ran wild that he was not happy at Kentucky, not happy with Coach Cal, and not happy with DeMarcus Cousins. Later, he announced via twitter that non of that was true, however did not deny his intentions on leaving for the draft.  This could be big for Kentucky, because Daniel may make the decision to drop out of this semester early and start training.  If that happens and he doesn't finish the school year, then Kentucky loses a scholarship next season stay tuned
  • .It is being reported that DeMarcus Cousins told a local newspaper that Darnel Dodson would not be back next season. I don't think that this means he's testing the NBA waters, I would assume it means he wasn't happy and will be transferring....stayed tuned for this too.
  • Brandon Knight will be announcing his college choice on April 14th.  Josh Selby will announce at half time of the Jordan Classic, which is April 17th. Marquis Teague will be announcing next week. All reports I hear say that C.J Leslie will not be making a decision until later in the summer
